How long does an online diploma take?

There is no single answer, and that is the honest one

An online diploma programme is self-paced. The time it takes depends on how much time you can give it and how quickly you move through the material. That is a feature rather than a gap in the information — it means someone working full time and someone studying daily can both complete it, on their own schedules.

Anyone who tells you it takes exactly six weeks, or eight, is describing an average that may have nothing to do with your circumstances.

What actually determines the timeline

Three things, in order of how much they matter:

• How much time you can give it each week. This is the dominant factor and nobody else can supply it.
• Whether you keep going. Most people who never finish did not fail — they stopped, usually after a gap in their routine.
• The programme's own requirements. A defined programme with a set number of credits has a floor, however fast you work.

Why the examination matters for this question

If an examination can only be taken once, then failing it means waiting for the next sitting — which can add months to a timeline through no fault of the student. That is worth checking before you enrol anywhere.

Where the examination can be retaken as many times as needed at no additional charge, a single bad sitting does not restart anything. You simply take it again. That removes the largest single source of delay from the whole process.

How it works at Autumn Grove

The programme covers eight subject areas for a total of 24 credits, completed online from home at the student's own pace. When the programme is complete, the student sits the school examination online in a single session. It can be retaken as many times as needed at no additional charge.

On passing, the school awards the diploma with the full 24 credits. Records, transcripts and certificates are issued by the school office, and each diploma is numbered and registered.
